Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address (or information provided via a third-party login such as Google).

Trip and usage data. We collect the content you create and share through the Service, including trip names, destinations, dates, itineraries, group chat messages, and voting activity.

Device and log data. We automatically collect information your browser sends when you visit the Service, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used solely to maintain and improve the Service.

Cookies. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to keep you logged in and understand how the Service is used. You can instruct your browser to refuse cookies, though some features may not function properly as a result.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Send you account-related emails (e.g., password resets, trip invitations)
• Respond to support requests
• Monitor usage to detect and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Service providers. We work with third-party companies to help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, authentication, analytics). These providers only access your data to perform services on our behalf and are obligated to keep it confidential.

Other trip members. Information you add to a trip — including your name, suggested destinations, dates, and chat messages — is visible to other members of that trip.

Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.

We retain your account and trip data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your name, email, profile photo, and bio are permanently removed immediately. Content you contributed to shared groups — messages, votes, expenses, packing items, and itinerary items — is kept but anonymized as “Deleted user” so it doesn't disappear for other members. Groups where you were the only admin pass admin rights to the next-oldest member; groups where you were the only member are deleted entirely. Account deletion cannot be undone.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of certain data uses

You can delete your account at any time from your profile page (Settings → Danger zone → Delete account). For any other request, contact us at the email below.

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
